Chess Club at Literary Leftovers

Welcome to Chess Club at Literary Leftovers!

Seth Herrmann facilitates this chess club on second and fourth Fridays in the shop, from 4pm to 5pm, starting March 8, 2o24.

The club will be assisted by Jiho Kim, who is also one of our Study Hall tutors.

This club is free, but if you have your own chessboard, you’re invited to bring it along. It’s open to all ages and all levels. The goal is to both play and learn, so that everyone enjoys and improves their game. Chess is an exciting, strategic game that can be enjoyed by anyone at any time, and has been enjoyed for centuries.

This is a chance to meet other players and practice in a cozy, nonjudgemental environment. All contact between players and spectators must be sporting and supportive. No rudeness, petty competition, or disparagement allowed.
